Shannon & Kelly,
I wanted to thank you again for bringing Baxter Flash (Cherub) into our home! He is the perfect addition! He loves his new brother Vinny (cat) and his brother Bernard (dog). He is such an amazing creature and we are so thankful that you saved his life. We cannot imagine not having him in our world.
He was neutered a month ago and has fully recovered. We cannot believe how fast he zips around the house. :)
Thank you again!
-Kelly & Nuria S. Hello! I wanted to share my adoption story for your website.
I adopted Apolo in May of 2006. He has been an amazing addition to my life. He has come a long way from when I first adopted him. Apolo loves to play, go for walks, and just cuddle with people he loves. He is a fantastic dog who deserved a second chance at having a good home to call his own! Thank you, Shannon and Underdog Rescue, for bringing Apolo into my life! Shannon and Underdog Rescue Volunteers,
Again, I just wanted to update you on the new members of our family. In September we adopted Jersey from you, and we recently adopted Mikah (A.k.a. Froggy). Jersey is the ABSOLUTE best dog, and Mikah is following in her footsteps! Mikah is so sweet and loving, and has made the perfect canine companion for Jersey! They play, eat, drink, sleep...well they do everything together! Underdog Rescue continues to amaze me. The work and dedication that you all put into every dog is inspirational. We love these two pups more than humanly possible, I think! They may be a bit spoiled, but rightfully so! I thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for giving us pure joy and the opportunity to love and care for such amazing animals. Also, I have attached some photos of the the two and one of Mikah when she came and visited me at work!
Sincerely,
Amanda Z. I am Darcy J. and my partner and I adopted Bonnie on 11/25. I wanted to let you know that we just adore her and she is a wonderful addition to our family. We renamed her Vera. Shannon and Underdog Volunteers,
I just wanted to say how absolutely in love we are with Jersey. Although she has only been with us for about 4 days now, she is just amazing and such a huge part of the family already! I am also emailing you because I just had to let you all know what an amazing thing it is that you guys do! Jersey has the MOST amazing disposition I have ever seen and is such a smart dog with a wonderful personality, and I can only say that it is because of all that you have done for her! I will be sure to send pictures once she starts growing...which should be in about 2 weeks ha!
Thank you so much again for giving me the chance to love her and give her the life she deserves!
Thank you, Amanda Z Hello,
I thought you would like to know that the kitten formerly called Jolly is doing great in his new home. He has been renamed Dionysus (the greek god of theatre), and actully comes when called. He loves all the kitty jungle gyms located in my tiny apartment, and likes to keep me awake with the numerous rattle balls lying around the floor. He has become quickly attached to my older female cat, who loves to play and groom him. It's adorable when she grooms him in the wrong direction and his fur stands on end. He even enjoys rubbing affectionatly against my little dog. He is a perfect addition to my little family! Attached are a few pictures I was able to catch of him on the rare occasions that he's sitting still.
Kortney S. Dear Shannon, Kelly and everyone with underdog rescue, We have never been more in love with a dog? MacBeth had big shoes to fill, since our previous dog was much loved and was the dog my kids grew up with. When Cosette died in 2005 at age 17, it was very tough, but Mac (short for MacBeth) has slipped into those big shoes and they are a perfect fit! Macbeth is without a doubt the sweetest, most wonderful dog we have ever owned. He is playful and cuddly and sweet, and everyone we know always wishes that they had a dog just like Mac. MacBeth loves everyone and has become such an asset to our family. He loves other dogs (although usually only the big ones), and the cats have even become pretty tolerant of his shenanigans! He loves to sleep snuggled in the crook of my neck. Thanks to all of you at underdog rescue. Our underdog is a wonder dog!
Thanks again, Sara B

"Hi,
I wanted to write and let you know that Dessi is doing fine - I adopted her about a month ago and she has settled in very quickly. As you can see from the pictures there were no problems getting to know the other cat in the family.
Thanks for all your help
Let me know if I can volunteer to help in anyway
Thanks, Nicole J" In June I adopted a pitbull mix puppy named Red from Underdog Rescue. (We now call him Diesel) I have to say he is the best dog I have ever owned. He is such a sweet boy, and has been an amazing addition to our house. He knows most of the dogs and people in the neighborhood and they all love him. Whenever we go to the vet the techs that work there come out to say hi because they remember him from his shots and boosters and they love when he visits. He was very easy to housetrain, it was very evident that his foster home did an amazing job with him. I look forward to coming home everyday to his smiling face. I have told many of my friends what a great organization U.R. is, and one of my friends after spending the weekend camping with Diesel and I checked out one of the adoption days at UrbAnimal and has now adopted a puppy of her own from U.R. I just wanted to thank all of you for doing such a great job and introducing me to my best friend.
Sincerely, Lindsay J Shannon,
Attached is a photo of Bunker with his monkey. He graduated last Saturday from puppy class at Petsmart. We are very happy he is our dog! I got him microchipped. He moves through our house like a bullet.
Thank you for him!
Kathy
Maya is an amazing dog and has fit in so well with our family! She is attending Cloud Nine Dog Training in Hopkins and is almost finished with Level I. She enjoys training and learns very fast. Her favorite activities are riding in the car, going on walks, playing catch, and "watching TV" at night on the couch. She adores our kids and our cat, Jack. She recently had the follow up heartworm check done and it is negative. Thanks so much for placing Maya with our family- we love her so much!

"I cannot express how perfect Blu is and how thankful I am that she was saved by Underdog Rescue and that I was fortunate enough to find her. Since she came into my life, there hasn't been a moment that I haven't appreciated the work that you do in rescuing these valuable souls. She is sweet, silly, playful and loving-greeting every person and almost every animal (squirrels and pigeons beware!) with a wagging tail so powerful that her whole body waggles along with it. Her favorite activities include daily walks, bathing her humans in kisses, and playing with her best friend and fellow Underdog, Meyer or her beloved Bad Cuz, a gift from her favorite foster mom. I couldn't ask for a more ideal companion and I am so grateful to everyone at Underdog.~Jennifer H"
We have been so lucky to have Dave come into our lives. He is so full of energy and wants to play all of the time! Dave is a great companion; he is our 55 pound puppy : ) Even though a dog of his breed has a "bully breed" status he is so friendly with dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes-everyone is his friend. We were so happy to find Underdog Rescue and the service they provide to unwanted and abandoned dogs. Once our living situation allows, we will be adopting a friend for Dave from Underdog!
Thanks!
Molly & Chad
These three puppies were adopted seperately, but their new owners get together for playdates on a regular basis.
